In 1992, the medals for the winter Olympics in Albertille were crystal set with either gold, silver or bronze. They were designed by Lalique.
To celebrate the event, Lalique produced and released three limited edition paperweights … the five Olympic rings set against the French Alps, the slalom skier and the ski jumper in mid-flight.
Presented here is the ski jumper paperweight. Produced as a limited edition of 4000, this example is numbered 1089. It is presented in its original box with its certificate.
The paperweight’s disc measures 9cm in diameter, and overall stands 10.2 tall.
The weight is engraved "Lalique ® France" and “1089 / 4000” to the side of the base.
The weight measures approximately 13cm by 10cm high.
The weight is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips or repairs, and there is no evidence of base wear scratching. It is presented in its original box.
