Lalique’s Fille d’Eve perfume bottle for Nina Ricci.
This perfume bottle was designed for Nina Ricci for their “Fille d’Eve” (Daughter of Eve) perfume and was first introduced in 1952. It is believed it was a design by Marc Lalique who also produced the iconic two doves atop a swirling ribbed body bottle for L’Air du Temps perfume also for Nina Ricci … Incidentally, Marc Lalique was friends with Nina Ricci's son Robert.
The bottle was made in several sizes, this being one of the smaller sizes.
The base of this bottle is etched "Nina Ricci bottle by Lalique".
The perfume bottle stands 5.8cm tall including the stopper, and is 5.2cm in diameter. The stopper measures 2.8cm at its widest. All measurements are approximate.
The perfume bottle is in very good condition. No chips, cracks repairs or scratches have been noted apart from scratches and “shelf rash” to the base. It is presented in its original pink satin padded box.
