A World War 11 Period - 2nd Pattern British Fairbairn- Sykes Commando Knife.

A very good quality world war 11 period , british 2nd pattern fairbairn sykes brass hilted commando knife.
A very nice early commando knife with chequered brass grip and original leather scabbard.

The remains of the original Browning can be seen on the blade and crossguard ( used to subdue any reflection at night and to protect the metal against rust .)

In its original leather scabbard with brass end chape.

Likely officers  private purchase as absence of makers mark / crow foot military mark..

A lovely knife which would compliment any collection.
