A fabulous looking stuart period ,king charles 2nd, solid silver supporters badge
This item which dates to circa 1660 -1680 AD, is in wonderful allover condition.
It shows the bust of King Charles 2nd after the restoration of the monarchy.
This was after the death of his father king charles 1st, who was executed by Oliver Cromwell and his parliamentary forces in 1649 AD.
The reverse of this piece shows his coat of arms as is usual.
Above the portrait of the king is the Latin inscription which says Charles the 2nd..
It has a little wear to the side of the face which indicates that this item was used as a good luck touch pieces by a supporter loyal to the king and the royalist cause.
Size 2.7 CM in Length.
Lincolnshire Excavations in 1976.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
